Hi Seoul Festival is a popular festival on the streets of Seoul featuring musical and cultural performances, street art, parades, food, and fireworks. The week long festival usually occurs in May or October at public areas such as Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul Plaza and Chyeonggye Plaza.
Over one million people, both Koreans and visitors from around the world, are drawn to the streets of Seoul to enjoy the festival each year. Over 250 performances take place by grounds from Korea and around the world. Many of these performances are non verbal which breaks down the communication barrier for those who do not speak Korean.
Other than street performances, visitors can also enjoy traditional Korean cultural by visiting one of the many booths. You can be adventurous and sample Korean street food or try on colorful traditional Korean dress known as hanbok.
