Prepare for a healthy trip

Arrange a travel-health appointment ideally at least a month before departure. A clinician can review your vaccination history, health conditions, trip length, destinations, and planned activities.

Keep routine vaccinations up to date. Additional travel vaccines or medicines depend on your circumstances. A short city stay and an extended rural trip can involve different recommendations.

Read the CDC’s current South Korea traveler guidance for vaccine recommendations, health notices, and precautions to discuss with your clinician. Do not treat every vaccine on that page as a requirement for every traveler.

Health advice and entry rules are different

A recommended vaccine is not necessarily an entry requirement. Check the entry-requirements guide and official Korean government or consular advice for your circumstances shortly before travel.

If you need help in Seoul

For a medical emergency, call 119. For non-emergency treatment, ask your insurer or accommodation to help locate a suitable clinic. Confirm appointment availability, language assistance, and costs with the provider.
